About Us

We are...

the experts in corporate social responsibility, sustainability and cause marketing communications. Our experienced team of professionals has helped leading organizations, both large and small, from all corners of the globe get their message out. We are dedicated to helping businesses have a positive influence on society and the environment through information sharing that leverages technology and social media.

We love what we do and believe that the way we can make the biggest difference is through communications.

We wear suits, hemp pants, drink martinis and soy milk. Some of us have MBAs from Harvard, others of us dropped out of high school. Among us we have philosophy, economics and human rights degrees, and one of us plays in a band. We have been CEOs and Directors of companies, and grown fledgling organizations into global operations. Some of us never strayed too far from home while others have worked in refugee camps in Africa. Our varied backgrounds have led us all to one collective belief: we have seen first hand the positive force that business can have in the global community.

So please reach out to us. Let us know how we can help you. We look forward to meeting you.

Greg Schneider
is a co-founder of 3BL Media and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Prior to founding 3BL Media, Greg was the COO of a news distribution service focused on corporate responsibility. In recognition of the obvious evolution of communications technologies and the expanding global interest in CSR and sustainability, Greg, along with some friends and colleagues left their jobs to start 3BL Media. Prior to his five years running the newswire service, Greg built a number of different service organizations geared for small businesses. Greg has a degree in Philosophy and a MS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He likes coffee, The Dead, kayaking, reading and spending time outdoors.

Cindy Esposito
is a co-founder of 3BL Media. She is responsible for the oversight of Media Consulting and Client Service. Prior to co-founding 3BL Media, Cindy held various senior management positions in the CSR communications field. In these roles, Cindy worked with hundreds of for-profit and non-profit organizations to guide and assist them with their CSR communications outreach strategies. Cindy has been a frequent volunteer at local animal shelters. She enjoys curling up with a good book and hot chocolate. Cindy lives in Massachusetts with her daughter, Allie and her partner, Bill.

Doug Fulton
is a co-founder of 3BL Media and 3BL Media’s Chief Tech geek. Doug has been developing and deploying strategic internet applications for over 20 years. As an early adopter of open source technology, Doug built a multi-institution, workforce development database and application for a state government. As a longtime student of Economics, Doug has long been convinced that business grounded in social and environmental values is the vehicle for not only more satisfying, but also more productive work. Doug holds a BA from Harvard and a MSc from the London School of Economics. When not buried in a computer, Doug can often be found on the B-Ball court, biking alongside the Connecticut River or vegan noshing with his family.

Doug (Reggie) Sayers
aka Reginald Von Douglas as he is respectfully referred to at 3BL Media is responsible for all things tech. Reggie was the IT director at an online news company prior to joining 3BL Media. When he is not writing code or administering systems and servers, Reggie remains hidden beneath his Boston Red Sox cap which it seems he never removes. Reggie plays rhythm guitar for Fear of Ducks and dreams of one day owning a banjo.

Terence Washington
Terence is 3BL Media’s newly minted Online Communications Architect, and along with David, helms and directs all the company’s Social Communications Strategies. When he isn’t biding his time supplying Reginald with quotable material to put up on his Facebook or thoughts of world domination, he’s constructing avenues on the world wide web where corporations and individuals can find meaningful eyes for their socially responsible content and cause driven media. Terence also works in the Editorial Department of 3BL Media, creating a dialogue of interest between a highly mobilized audience and a professional, albeit fun, network of CSR and Sustainability Writers and Bloggers. It appears, with everything Terence has on his plate, his plans of world domination might have to be scaled back. The Internet will do...

Emily Polk
has worked and lived for nearly ten years around the world as a human rights–focused writer and editor. Prior to joining the 3BL Media team, Emily was the Senior writer and Editor for a corporate social responsibility news service. Polk's own writing and radio documentaries have appeared in National Geographic Traveler, the Boston Globe, NPR, AlterNet, the Indian Express, Central America Weekly, the Ghanaian Chronicle, and Whole Earth Magazine, among others. Emily lives in Northampton, Massachusetts with her acupuncturist, Tai Chi-practicing husband, Jake and their cat Malu. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Communication for Sustainable Social Change.

David Martel
oversees 3BL Media’s online community building efforts. After receiving his MLS, David went to work for Tripod, one of the Internet's first community-oriented sites. There David helped members connect and build interest-based communities. David also worked as a member of the Search and Directory team of Lycos in the pre-bubble days of the Internet. Since then, he has run a number of libraries and taught at just about every level – from kindergarten to doctorate. In the little spare time he has, David enjoys tending his strawberry patch, running with his dogs, hitting the swimming holes, and playing harmonica. He is currently completing an eco-friendly addition to his 200 year old farmhouse. He lives in rural Vermont with his wonderful wife and six of the greatest children ever made.

Leslie O’Donnell
has spent the past nine years working with customers in niche online communities. She has spent her time in the fields of online healthcare and more recently corporate responsibility education and outreach. As a 3BL Senior Media Consultant, Leslie counsels organizations about the most effective way to use both traditional and cutting edge tools to tell their CSR stories. She holds a BA in education with additional concentration in computer science. Leslie and her husband, Rich have two daughters, Lauren and Lindsay.

He is also the principal of Greenland Inc., which advises on media strategy and communications, new media, and branding and marketing for new campaigns, products, and multi-platform media initiatives. As a publisher-editor-writer, John has worked extensively with a variety of popular magazines and is a frequent contributing writer and blogger. He is an avid reader and music lover and is currently helping to guide the Delta Blues Museum through a re-branding initiative. John lives in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
