Meet the Team
Greg Schneider is a co-founder of 3BL Media and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Prior to founding 3BL Media, Greg was the COO of a news distribution service focused on corporate responsibility. In recognition of the obvious evolution of communications technologies and the expanding global interest in CSR and sustainability, Greg, along with some friends and colleagues left their jobs to start 3BL Media. Prior to his five years running the newswire service, Greg built a number of different service organizations geared for small businesses. Greg has a degree in Philosophy and a MS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He likes coffee, The Dead, kayaking, reading and spending time outdoors.
Martin Smith currently serves as Chairman of the 3BL Media Group where he focuses on strategy, partnerships and corporate development. Prior to 3BL Media, Smith was the founder and CEO of Justmeans.com, building the site into the world’s leading source of information and opportunities for people in the field of sustainable business and reputation management. Over a three year period, Smith led Justmeans into a multinational digital media platform serving hundreds of companies and 250,000 registered subscribers. Justmeans was acquired by 3BL Media in July of 2011. Prior to Justmeans, Smith founded and was the first CEO of StartingBloc, an organization that educates, inspires, and connects future leaders of sustainable development.
Cindy Esposito is a co-founder of 3BL Media. She is responsible for the oversight of Operations and Media Consulting. Prior to co-founding 3BL Media, Cindy held various senior management positions in the communications and technology fields. In these roles, she worked with hundreds of for-profit and non-profit organizations to guide and assist them with their CSR outreach strategies. Cindy graduated from Bay Path College with a BS in Business Management. Cindy has been a frequent volunteer at local animal shelters and serves on the Board of Directors of The Breast Form Fund in Northampton, MA. When not curled up with a good book and hot chocolate, Cindy is training for her next half-marathon.
Doug Fulton is a co-founder of 3BL Media and 3BL Media’s Chief Tech geek. Doug has been developing and deploying strategic internet applications for over 20 years. As a longtime student of Economics, Doug has long been convinced that business grounded in social and environmental values is the vehicle for not only more satisfying, but also more productive work. Doug holds a BA from Harvard and a MSc from the London School of Economics. When not buried in a computer, Doug can often be found on the B-Ball court, biking alongside the Connecticut River or vegan noshing with his family.
Doug (Reggie) Sayers, is a co-founder of 3BL Media and is responsible for all things tech. Reggie was the IT director at an online news company prior to joining 3BL Media. When he is not writing code or administering systems and servers, Reggie remains hidden beneath his Boston Red Sox cap which it seems he never removes. Reggie plays rhythm guitar for Fear of Ducks and dreams of one day owning a banjo.
John Howell is a co-founder and the Editorial Director for 3BL Media. He oversees all original content procurement and creation. He is also the principal of Greenland Inc., which advises on media strategy and communications, new media, and branding and marketing for new campaigns, products, and multi-platform media initiatives. As a publisher-editor-writer, John has worked extensively with a variety of popular magazines and is a frequent contributing writer and blogger. He is an avid reader and music lover and is currently helping to guide the Delta Blues Museum through a re-branding initiative. John lives in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
Meet the Team
Karen Ammann joined 3BL Media after over eight years in non-profit fields related to community relations and fundraising for the organic food and human services industries. Karen works with 3BL Media and Justmeans clients to help them keep their overall content distribution strategies vibrant and relevant with all the robust tools 3BL Media has available. She holds a BA in Social Thought and Political Economics and Italian Studies from UMass Amherst. Outside of CSR, Karen keeps busy trying to exhaust her two dogs, enjoys the Pioneer Valley’s strong music community and offers up her fundraising experience at a local arts collective.
Leslie O’Donnell spent over eleven years working with customers in niche online communities. She has spent her time in the fields of online healthcare and more recently corporate responsibility education and outreach. As a 3BL Senior Media Consultant, Leslie counsels organizations about the most effective way to use both traditional and cutting edge tools to tell their CSR stories. She holds a BA in education with additional concentration in computer science. Leslie and her husband, Rich, have two daughters, Lauren and Lindsay.
Allie Esposito has been an Intern at 3BL Media since the beginning of summer 2010. She is currently working towards her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance at Bentley University with a minor in Information Design and Corporate Communication. Allie spent the Fall of 2011 studying economics at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom and the culture of as many other countries as she could. Allie also serves as the assistant to the Office of Sustainability at Bentley University and is a member of the Dana Athletic Center Staff. While not in the office or at school, she can be found watching movies, reading books, planning her next endeavor or trying to rack up frequent customer points at Starbucks.
Jessi Copeland is a Content Manager at 3BL Media where she assists the Distribution Team in establishing the pathways that promote CSR and Sustainability news and content to interested niche communities. She came into this position as a result of her intellectual curiosity about how companies can develop technologies to help these same communities keep pace in a perpetually changing technological landscape. However, before taking on a job that helps inform the world about the good that's out there, Jessi was out in the front lines doing good herself. She has several years experience working with children and adults with disabilities and long term illnesses in addition to earning a degree in Recreational Therapy from Western Piedmont Community College. Jessi now resides in western North Carolina and with her two toddler boys, her step-daughter and the love of her life.
Steph Maloney is a Media Consultant for 3BL Media. She holds a BA in Communications concentrating in Public Relations, and a Minor in Theater Performance from Central Connecticut State University, as well as an AA in Communication from Holyoke Community College. After working in the theme park industry for the past 7 years, Steph is excited to switch gears and focus on distributing CSR, energy, and health content through new and social media channels.
Rob Cerreta is part of the 3BL Media Business Development team. He looks to help clients align today’s multiple message format options with 3BL Media’s wide range of channels and experienced media experts. Rob began his career in the engineering computer graphics CAD/CAM sector, moved into global IT consulting and was drawn to the sustainability field after hearing about CEO, Ray Anderson’s journey. Rob enjoys a wide variety of music and information, and when possible, some tracks in the snow, a good game of tennis and maybe someday once again, paddling out towards a nice set of waves…
Rachael Mason is a Media Consultant for 3BL Media, where she works with clients to develop their content distribution strategies to ensure their news reaches target audiences. Rachael holds a MS in Communications and Information Management from Bay Path College and a BS in Business Management from Westfield State University. Rachael resides in Northampton, Massachusetts.
Katie Buckland, rounds out the 3BL Media sales team. She brings a great deal of energy and enthusiasm to the team all the way from Texas. She holds a BA in Government from the University of Texas at Austin and has a background in public policy, nonprofit fundraising and internal corporate responsibility. Batman, NYC, sunglasses and anything tex mex are the little things that make her happy.
Emily Polk worked and lived for nearly ten years around the world as a human rights–focused writer and editor. Prior to joining the 3BL Media team, Emily was the Senior writer and Editor for a corporate social responsibility news service. Polk's own writing and radio documentaries have appeared in National Geographic Traveler, the Boston Globe, NPR, AlterNet, the Indian Express, Central America Weekly, the Ghanaian Chronicle, and Whole Earth Magazine, among others. Emily lives in Northampton, Massachusetts with her acupuncturist, Tai Chi-practicing husband, Jake and their cat Malu. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Communication for Sustainable Social Change.
Henry Frechette is 3BL Media's Community Architect and directs the company's social communications strategies. Before joining 3BL Media, Henry received his MA in the Humanities from the University of Chicago and worked for several large nonprofits and a sustainability consulting company. He is a firm believer that the internet can be a powerful tool for good as well as a complete waste of time, and he has dedicated his career to helping anyone that will listen to understand the difference. When not sitting at his computer, Henry often finds himself wishing he were sitting at his computer... or drinking hot chocolate at Angeline's.
Sagar Tambe is a Project manager of 3BL Media’s technology team in India. He is responsible for product delivery management and has been the lead for Justmeans.com during the past four years. Sagar holds a Masters in Computer Management from Pune University. In his free time he likes to play and watch cricket, watch movies and spend time with his family and friends.
Vikrant is die-hard technology and programming specialist. He has developed an award winning software product for Skype. He managed the entire technology development and operations for Justmeans.com which included research & building new products under the Justmeans brand, product management and strategy. Vikrant leads 3BL Media’s development center in India. He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from Pune University and spends most of free time with his 12 months old daughter.
Nikhil is Head of Operations for 3BL Media in India. His responsibilities include managing the Engineering teams along with support for product management and user experience, ensuring high availability of IT infrastructure and resource planning. Prior to this role, he managed operations of Tier II and III consulting companies and Business Process Outsourcing units for five years. Nikhil holds a Masters degree in Management from Pune University. He spends his free time mostly playing cricket and watching Hollywood classics.
