Meet the Team
Greg Schneider is a co-founder of 3BL Media and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Prior to founding 3BL Media, Greg was the COO of a news distribution service focused on corporate responsibility. In recognition of the obvious evolution of communications technologies and the expanding global interest in CSR and sustainability, Greg, along with some friends and colleagues left their jobs to start 3BL Media. Prior to his five years running the newswire service, Greg built a number of different service organizations geared for small businesses. Greg has a degree in Philosophy and a MS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He likes coffee, The Dead, kayaking, reading and spending time outdoors.
Cindy Esposito Schneider is a co-founder of 3BL Media. She is responsible for the oversight of Operations and Media Consulting. Prior to co-founding 3BL Media, Cindy held various senior management positions in the communications and technology fields. In these roles, she worked with hundreds of for-profit and non-profit organizations to guide and assist them with their CSR outreach strategies. Cindy graduated from Bay Path College with a BS in Business Management. Cindy has been a frequent volunteer at local animal shelters and serves on the Board of Directors of The Breast Form Fund in Northampton, MA. When not curled up with a good book and hot chocolate, Cindy is training for her next half-marathon.
Doug Fulton is a co-founder of 3BL Media and 3BL Media’s Chief Tech geek. Doug has been developing and deploying strategic internet applications for over 20 years. As a longtime student of Economics, Doug has long been convinced that business grounded in social and environmental values is the vehicle for not only more satisfying, but also more productive work. Doug holds a BA from Harvard and a MSc from the London School of Economics. When not buried in a computer, Doug can often be found on the B-Ball court, biking alongside the Connecticut River or vegan noshing with his family.
Doug (Reggie) Sayers, was a co-founder of 3BL Media and responsible for all things tech. Reggie was the IT director at an online news company, CSRwire, prior to starting 3BL Media. When not writing code or administering systems and servers, Reggie remained hidden beneath his Boston Red Sox cap which it seems he never removed. Reggie played rhythm guitar for Fear of Ducks and his dream of one day owning a banjo did come true.

John Howell is a co-founder and the Editorial Director for 3BL Media. He oversees all original content procurement and creation. He is also the principal of Greenland Inc., which advises on media strategy and communications, new media, and branding and marketing for new campaigns, products, and multi-platform media initiatives. As a publisher-editor-writer, John has worked extensively with a variety of popular magazines and is a frequent contributing writer and blogger. He is an avid reader and music lover and is currently helping to guide the Delta Blues Museum through a re-branding initiative. John lives in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
Meet the Team
Karen Ammann leads 3BL Media's Media Consultant team from Philadelphia. In her role as VP of Client Engagement, she aims to support and grow our existing client relationships, seeking innovation to advise clients on content distribution strategies that are vibrant and relevant with all of the robust tools 3BL Media has available.
Karen joined 3BL Media after eight years working at non-profits in community relations and fundraising capacities. She holds a BA in Social Thought and Political Economics and Italian Studies from UMass Amherst. Outside of CSR, she keeps busy trying to exhaust her two dogs, enjoying Philadelphia, digging in the garden and volunteering to support access to healthy food in all of Philly's neighborhoods.
Dave Armon is CMO of 3BL Media. Prior to joining in an executive capacity, Dave served on the 3BL Board of Directors. A former journalist and PR practitioner, Dave spent 20 years in management at PR Newswire, where he was president and COO. His experience in marketing and PR SaaS includes the social media monitoring platform Techrigy (sold to Alterian), PR workflow platform dna13 (sold to CNW Group) and the broadcast intelligence platform Critical Mention. A New Yorker, Dave enjoys mentoring young professionals, volunteering for the Center for Communication, playing Scrabble and swimming.
Brent Danley is a full-stack web developer for 3BL Media. He has worked at myriad companies in southern Maine, where he lives, building and maintaining web software that ranges from cutting-edge mobile applications to critical enterprise websites. Brent has a BS in Computer Science from Wichita State University. His specialty is responsive front-end development and his passion is providing the best experience for the user. When he’s not tapping away on his Mac’s keyboard, he might be piloting a Cessna up the Maine coast with his three daughters aboard or trying to hit a tennis ball with as much spin as is physically possible.
Jennifer Foley comes to 3BL with over 15 years experience in Marketing and Communication Management at for- and non-profit organizations with a focus on sustainability and community engagement. Before that, she worked in film production, publishing (book and newspaper), as a graphic designer, and as a freelance writer and editor (which she continues to do when asked nicely). Jennifer is also mom to Emma Susannah--a brilliant, witty, and very creative teenager. When not immersed in these jobs, she may be found by a body of water with a book in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other; cheering on the UCONN Women Huskies basketball team; hiking; watching movies; playing Trivia Crack; or working up the courage to write a novel.
Sheila has focused on business development and sales for most of her career, starting with Mars Inc., through to Yell. Currently, Sheila's time is dedicated to connecting the appropriate Ethical Performance products and services with the companies dedicating resources to CSR & Sustainability. A farmer’s daughter from the West Country, Sheila has moved around the UK with her studies and career. She spent a year backpacking around the US and Australia before settling in Kent with her husband and family. She loves living way out in the countryside, walking the area and has recently started cycling again, although the hills defeat her!
Vanessa has been working for Ethical Performance since 2008, promoting its stakeholder communication service and portfolio of communication tools. After studying business Vanessa progressed into local media, working in advertising before joining Ethical Performance. Vanessa volunteers with various initiatives, in recent years promoting a healthy lifestyle through her running club and bringing the community together through local events. She has always been passionate about the environment and spends as much time as possible enjoying the great outdoors, whether cycling, running or walking.
Jake Schoenberg is the Marketing & Distribution Associate at 3BL Media. Jake works in marketing and distribution to raise brand awareness and reach future clients. As a recent graduate from UMass Amherst Jake holds his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Information Technology. When he’s not around the office you can find him playing music at local venues and spending quality time with his loved ones. His other passions include music, food, and wisdom. He is beyond excited to make a big splash on the CSR and Sustainability world and positively impact those he works with.
Sam is part of the Client Services team where she helps clients share and distribute their messages and stories. Sam holds a BA in Communications from Westfield State University. Prior to 3BL, she worked in the Direct Marketing department at a major fashion retailer where she created and maintained product on the eCommerce website. She spends her time outside of work following sports and her fantasy teams. She also enjoys the outdoors and finding new places to explore.
Kate holds a B.S. degree in Communication and Graphic Design from Eastern Connecticut State University. Prior to working at 3BL, she designed websites for live entertainment venues and freelanced on independent films throughout the northeast. In her spare time, Kate studies 3D Animation, and enjoys hiking, reading, and writing short stories. She's looking forward to helping 3BL Media clients share their sustainability initiatives with the masses.
Craig Rossein is Director of Business Development at 3BL Media. He started off in entertainment representing television writers and comedians and then he decided to live a life with more normal working hours and moved on to the exciting world of credit card processing. He and his family eventually found their way from Brooklyn to Western Mass where Craig jumped in to Digital Marketing at MassLive.com before landing at 3BL Media. He enjoys music, comedy, sports, spending time with his family, sarcasm and tea... but not necessarily in that order.
Stephanie is a Director of Business Development where she is responsible for managing the CSRwire client base. Over the last 25+ years, she has worked for many different types of organizations, both large and small, international and domestic. Her careers have included positions with an art auction house, a global bank, investor relations, her own start up organization and a host of others. All of these positions have focused on marketing and public relations. She has a BA in Fine Arts and French from St. Lawrence University and is an avid skier and fitness enthusiast. When not at 3BL she can be found coaching skiing at Sugarloaf Mountain in Maine. She is enjoying the journey with her teenage son and daughter.
Melissa Byrne leads the Finance Department at 3BL Media. She is a CPA and earned her MS in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. Melissa is an outdoors enthusiast and spends her time distance running and cycling on rail trails and running as many races as she can. At home, she is the beloved leader of four happy house cats and vehemently denies being a Crazy Cat Lady.
Jon is the Director of Business Development at 3BL Media where he is responsible for identifying new business opportunities for the company. Prior to 3BL Media, Jon was CEO of SHRINK NY, a virtual advertising agency offering best-in-breed talent to a variety of businesses including HYDRIVE Energy Drinks and Cablevision. Jon grew up in the advertising business in NYC working at highly respected creative agencies, Chiat/Day and Margeotes, Fertitta + Partner. There, he handled the advertising and communication needs for businesses and not-for-profit organizations including, the NYNEX Yellow Pages, New York Life Insurance Company, New York Stock Exchange, National Football League, Partnership for a Drug-Free America, and the Anti-Defamation League from whom Jon received a distinguished community service award in 2005. Jon has a BS degree in Mass Communications from Boston University's College of Communication. He loves good ads, enjoys spending time with his kids, and is working hard to get that first, ever-elusive hole-in-one.
Garnette Sherry brings a rich history of sales, service and client relations to 3BL Media. She is a proud graduate of Nichols College, living in Western Massachusetts with her husband, twins, 2 rescue cats and a Dixie dog named Sadie. When not chasing after her toddlers, Garnette is passionate about educating others about women’s health issues and engaging with the youth of her community through sports, coaching, and mentoring.
Bill Wolfrath is Senior Software Developer at 3BL Media, and generally fanatical about all things Drupal. A native New Yorker and Computer Science graduate of NYU, he has been developing web applications in many languages over the last 20 years, from C to Java to Perl to Python, but also is an amateur artist and has spent a lot of time working with the visual and creative aspects of development as well. As a former freelancer and consultant, Bill has worked solo, as part of teams, and has had some role in almost all aspects of the IT world. When not at a keyboard, he can most likely be found bike riding, watching the Yankees, or scouring the city for the best pizzerias and seafood restaurants he can find.
Per is Director of Business Development at 3BL Media. A business media veteran, his career, at McGraw-Hill, Thomas Publishing, Ziff-Davis, and now 3BL, has focused on using news and content to connect companies with their customers and stakeholders. Per works with companies and organizations to help them tell their sustainability and corporate social responsibility stories, to demonstrate their leadership, and reap the rewards of their good work through effective and thoughtful communication strategies.
She holds a B.S. in Sports/Entertainment/Event Management from Johnson & Wales University. A lover of sports, dogs, and the outdoors, Rebecca can often be found rooting for one of her favorite teams or hiking with her family and their two energetic cattle dogs.
Kathy Jansen is Director of Business Development at 3BL Media. Kathy has a BS in Business Administration from Wagner College with a background in marketing and communications. Prior to 3BL Media she worked for 8+ years at PR Newswire helping companies connect their stories with audiences worldwide. Growing up and residing in Ohio, she enjoys family, traveling, sports and coffee to keep up with her toddler and baby.
Sahrah Marcellin is a Media Consultant at 3BL Media. Sahrah hails from Springfield, Massachusetts and brings a passion for public relations and communications. As a recent graduate from Fitchburg State University, she holds a B.S. in Communications Media with a concentration in Professional Communications. During her spare time, you can find her volunteering at her local Boys and Girls Club.
Gabe Chesman is a Social Media Specialist for 3BL Media, where he works to develop and grow the company's distribution channels. He also consults on the development and implementation of new social media processes and strategies. Before joining 3BL Media, Gabe was the Social Media Lead at a news distribution service focused on corporate responsibility. He loves all types of music, strong coffee and Clint Eastwood movies.
Sean Carroll is a Web Developer at 3BL Media focused primarily on integrating Drupal 8 and Ember JS. A 2016 graduate in Materials Science and Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology he is a self-taught developer and startup fanatic. When not developing, he can be found woodworking, bike racing, or scuba diving.
Karla Santiago is the Marketing & Public Relations Specialist at 3BL Media. In her role, Karla works on media relations and marketing efforts to raise brand awareness, reach future clients and develop new partnerships. Karla holds a B.A. from the University of Puerto Rico in Public Relations & Advertising and an M.S. from Syracuse University in Public Relations. After a few years of working in the agency field in Puerto Rico, Karla relocated to Western Massachusetts and began working with a local media outlet before joining the 3BL Media team. She has transitioned from island life to New England life and is enjoying the changing weather with her husband and kitten Wendy. When she's not searching for new recipes online, she can be found in the kitchen baking, on the road exploring or doing arts and crafts.
Travis is a Media Consultant for 3BL Media. He brings several years of experience from the world of digital news and advertising, and is excited to partner with 3BL’s clients in achieving their CSR goals.
A New Jersey native, Travis holds a B.A. in History from Ramapo College. He left the Garden State for Western Mass. in 2012, where he now lives with his wonderful fiancée, their spoiled cat, and what some might call an excessive number of books.
Megan is a part of the media consultant team. In her role as content specialist, she helps clients share news about their latest innovations and outreach initiatives. She also helps coordinate 3BL Media’s marketing efforts. Megan holds an MS in Media Arts and Technology from Duquesne University, and a BA in American Studies from Providence College. She loves reading - especially historical fiction and Harry Potter - and enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, and their little dog with big ears, Colby. She looks forward to exploring all the coffee shops Northampton has to offer.
John Henry Silva is director of corporate development at 3BL Media. He is responsible for strategic mergers and acquisitions. He has previously worked at Tufts Health Plan, iRobot and the Kennedy School of Government. He serves on the Board of the Warrior Scholar Project, a national non-profit for veterans in career transition.
Rachael Mason is a Senior Media Consultant for 3BL Media, where she works with clients to develop their content distribution strategies to ensure their news reaches target audiences as well as mentoring her colleagues and training new team members. Rachael holds a MS in Communications and Information Management from Bay Path College and a BS in Business Management from Westfield State University. Rachael resides in Northampton, Massachusetts.
Katie Buckland, rounds out the 3BL Media sales team. She brings a great deal of energy and enthusiasm to the team all the way from Texas. She holds a BA in Government from the University of Texas at Austin and has a background in public policy, nonprofit fundraising and internal corporate responsibility. Batman, NYC, sunglasses and anything tex mex are the little things that make her happy.
