CAMPAIGN: A Commitment to Ending Domestic Violence

CONTENT: Blog

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. With one in four women in the U.S. experiencing abuse in their lifetime, Mary Kay will be sharing one story from a domestic violence survivor every week during October to help raise awareness of this important issue. This week’s story is from Tamika Douglas.

Tamika was a beautiful young musician, pregnant with her first child when her relationship turned physically abusive. Watch Tamika’s story to see how she was saved by calling a domestic violence hotline to get the support she needed. Tamika now knows that love should not hurt.

Join Mary Kay and Don’t Look Away from abuse. If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse and needs help, text “loveis” to 22522 to be connected with trained advocates who provide support, safety tips and referrals.
