Washington, D.C., May 10, 2016 /3BL Media/ - Identifying the right partner involves trust and expertise that can be hard to spot if you don’t know what to look for. Deirdre White, CEO at PYXERA Global will speak at the interactive lab, A Guide to Cross-Sector Collaborations: Identifying the Right Partner at the 2016 Shared Value Leadership Summit in New York May 10 and 11.

White will speak alongside Ryan Whalen, Director of Strategic Initiatives at The Rockefeller Foundation about their partnership through YieldWise, a $130 million initiative that seeks to demonstrate how the world can halve food waste and loss by 2030. White will also lead a new, interactive partnership training. Participants will walk away with tactics and insights to lead their own organizations to create productive partnerships.

“Partnership isn’t easy, but if you know what you want from the relationship and you are honest and up front enough to put that on the table, it will be worth it,” said White. “Your goals do not need to be the same, but they cannot be mutually exclusive.”

Cate O’Kane, Director of Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy of PSI, will moderate the panel. Other speakers include Lisa Bonadonna, Vice President, Government Affairs, Public Policy, and Patient Advocacy, GSK and Luciana Bonifacio, Chair, Global Corporate Partnerships Group, Save the Children.

The Shared Value Leadership Summit brings together leaders across sectors and industries to discuss innovative solutions to monumental problems. It aims to inspire change and create action. With a focus on shared value, it enables diverse organizations to start creating real business solutions to current social challenges.
