Another Way to Give Back to the Cancer Community

I know firsthand that after a fight with cancer, many people have an intense desire to give back. Some people decide to take part in a run or a walk to raise funds. Others decide to volunteer at their local hospital. And some even decide to call their representatives to ensure cancer issues are discussed on both the local and national levels. LIVESTRONG is fully supportive of any and all ways to give back to the cancer community, and we have an opportunity for those of you who are looking to do just that.

The LIVESTRONG Leader program is a unique way to volunteer and represent both LIVESTRONG and cancer survivors in your area. Leaders are backed by a full-time staff member, as well as a Senior Leader in your area for guidance along the way. Senior Leaders are long-time volunteers that can assist you in bringing your ideas to life that make an impact in your community.

Today is the last day to apply to become a LIVESTRONG Leader. If you are looking for a way to truly make a difference for people affected by cancer NOW in your town, we invite you to apply.

And thank you to all of the hundreds of Leaders who have served in the past and present. What you have helped us achieve could not have been accomplished alone. You have been integral in spreading our mission to those who desperately need it and we look forward to working with Leaders both new and old in 2016 and beyond!

LIVESTRONG,

Greg Lee
