Centennial, Colo. – Over 200 employees from Colorado-based Arrow Electronics descended upon Celebrity Lanes on Friday, April 22 for a three-hour bowl-a-thon aimed at raising money to send deserving students to Junior Achievement Business Week in Denver this summer. Arrow employees raised $25,000, enough to cover Business Week camp tuition for 70 students.

“Arrow Electronics is proud to support Junior Achievement Business Week and help guide the next generation of innovators forward,” said Kevin Manzo, vice president of finance at Arrow and member of the Junior Achievement Rocky Mountain board of directors. “Our fundraising efforts will provide so many deserving students with a transformative learning experience this summer.”

Arrow is the presenting sponsor of Junior Achievement Business Week, a week-long immersive learning experience on the campus of Johnson & Wales University in Denver that helps prepare young people for the real world by building business, entrepreneurship and leadership skills. In addition to interactive workshops on marketing, business ethics and budgeting, the week culminates in a “Shark Tank”-style competition.

More than half of the students attend JA Business Week on full scholarship thanks to contributions from Arrow and other event sponsors.
