Astellas USA Foundation Names Moyra Knight as President

NORTHBROOK, Ill., Oct. 26, 2016 /3BL Media/ — Astellas USA Foundation has named Moyra Knight as president, transitioning from Jeffrey A. Winton, outgoing Astellas USA Foundation president. Winton led the Foundation since 2014 and he will continue in his role as senior vice president, Corporate Affairs at Astellas. Knight has served as an Astellas USA Foundation advisory committee member since 2014.

“Astellas USA Foundation is committed to supporting programs and partners that cultivate healthy, educated and resilient communities,” said Winton. “Moyra’s more than 20 years of experience in volunteerism, public-private partnerships, CSR and philanthropy will continue to build upon the Foundation’s mission.”

Astellas USA Foundation, www.astellasusafoundation.org, is focused on three philanthropic pillars:

  • Health and well-being, focusing on access to health and well-being to people of all ages
  • Science WoRx™, supports Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) enrichment programming, including the recent announcement of support in rural communities
  • Disaster Response, including crisis prevention and recovery

Robin Andrews will continue to lead programming in the Foundation’s core focus areas, including health and well-being, STEM education and disaster response, and will now report to Knight.
