Atlantic City Boardwalk Goes Lights-out for Earth Hour

Much of the the Boardwalk went dark Saturday night as the Caesars properties in Atlantic City cut most outside lights to observe Earth Hour.  The World Wildlife Fund event called for lights to be shut off between 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday to raise awareness about the danger of climate change.  The four Caesars properties in Atlantic City -- Caesars, Harrah’s Resort, Bally’s and Showboat -- participated for its sixth year.  The casinos were encouraging guests and employees to turn off  nonessential interior lighting, too.
