July 20, 2016 /3BL Media/ - The Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation’s Bridging Cancer CareTM initiative has announced a Request for Proposals (RFP) for projects to design, implement and evaluate new survivorship care models for patients with lung cancer.  Implementation must take place in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and/or W. Virginia.

The Foundation will award up to three, two-year grants of up to $750,000 USD each to support the design, implementation and evaluation of survivorship care models focused on improving health outcomes, including physical and mental health, as well as overall quality of life (QoL) for lung cancer survivors, their family members and/or caregivers through:

  • Filling the existing research gaps by designing and implementing innovative interventions that improve access to quality survivorship care and optimizes health beyond cancer diagnosis and treatment
