This year sees the culmination of Barclays’ inaugural Citizenship Plan. Bold and innovative for its time, this plan was borne of the maelstrom of the financial crisis. Back in 2012, trust in the financial sector was at an all-time low and shareholders, clients, customers and our own colleagues were demanding evidence that we were changing. So it was in this climate that we launched the Plan.
