(3BL Media) Chestnut Hill, MA - March 5, 2012 - A record number of entries was matched by an unparalleled turnout at the online polls in the 2012 Corporate Citizenship Film Festival, whittling the competition down to 10 finalists.

More than 60,000 votes were cast online in the race to select the entry that best demonstrates how a company can use video as a communication tool to spread word of its corporate citizenship efforts around the corner and around the world. In the fourth year of the annual festival, 67 entries were submitted on issues including health and wellness, education, economic development and protection of the environment, among others.

This year’s finalists are:

  • Bright Horizons Family Solutions
  • Caterpillar
  • CSX
  • Cummins Inc.
  • Dow Chemical
  • FedEx
  • HP
  • Humana Inc.
  • Mary Kay Inc.
  • UST Global

A panel of judges will review the 10 finalist videos to select the winner of this year’s Corporate Citizenship Film Festival Trophy. Presentation of the Film Festival trophy will take place in ceremonies during the 2012 International Corporate Citizenship Conference, March 25-27, in Phoenix. During the conference, all 10 finalist videos will be available for viewing by the more than 500 conference attendees.

All 67 entries in this year’s competition are available for viewing on the Film Festival page of the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship website. Your opportunity to vote has passed, but it’s not too late to curl up in front of your computer with a bucket of popcorn to enjoy some great examples of how video is a perfect medium for a company to share its corporate citizenship message and build awareness of the impact of its efforts on the community and society.

And there is still time to register for the 2012 International Corporate Citizenship Conference and be part of the excitement as the winner of this year’s Film Festival is announced in Phoenix.
