Accenture and the Accenture Foundations have awarded Plan International, a global children and youth development organization, a new grant of $3.65 million to equip youth in Thailand and Indonesia with skills. The award is a part of Accenture's global corporate citizenship initiative known as "Skills to Succeed."

The grant will be distributed over a three-year period, and will be used to provide technical, vocational and entrepreneurial skills to about 7,100 disadvantaged young adults in the two Asian countries. These skills will help the youth obtain employment or run their own business. With this grant, Accenture's direct financial support for Plan International goes up to $5.5 million since 2011.

The Skills to Succeed program of Accenture aims to equip 250,000 people around the world by 2015, which can help them gain employment or build a business. The current grant to Plan International will improve its ability to provide productive support to marginalized youth in terms of skills build-up as well as necessary assistance to gain employment.
