Southwest Airlines has landed at St. Luke’s Community, a 2,200 square foot real-life therapy area at St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute dedicated to helping people recover after an injury or illness. A portion of a fuselage was retrofitted to be part of St. Luke’s therapy program, the region’s only level I trauma rehabilitation hospital.
The One America tour is designed to bring together powerful voices with the goal of inspiring millions of people to unite in service to their communities throughout 2013 and 2014. The initiative leverages volunteers in service projects to tackle three major issues: promoting education, ending hunger and protecting the environment. The tour kicked off in Columbus, OH in July and following New York’s event, will continue to Chicago, IL; Miami, FL; Houston, TX; Atlanta, GA; Phoenix, AZ; Los Angeles, CA, and Washington, D.C.

In response to the severe water challenges faced by the nearly 300 million Africans living without access to clean water, TCCAF introduced the Replenish Africa Initiative (RAIN) in 2009. RAIN recognizes the water projects that TCCC and its bottling partners have already supported on the continent (since 2005) and highlights TCCC’s new investment of US$30-million over six years (2010 to 2015) to water projects in Africa. RAIN aims to provide over 2 million people in Africa with access to clean water by the end of 2015.
