When a natural disaster strikes, immediate response is critical. Accordingly, the American Red Cross maintains warehouses, response vehicles, call centers, a paid staff plus thousands of volunteers to provide immediate relief to disaster victims.

That capability takes money – over $360 million a year – which must be in hand, not raised piecemeal after each disaster. To provide sustainable financial support, Johnson Controls joined the American Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program, committing to donate $500,000 annually for five years for a total of $2.5 million.
