Hi, I’m Owen, your Forest Academy tour guide! Have you checked out the Forest Academy website recently? I’ve added some new features and I think they’ll be popular with teachers and students alike.

The big news is that you can now print out pages of the Faculty Manual section. One click on the “Download” button at the top of each page of the Manual will give you a PDF version of the page that you can save or print.

This means that teachers can give their students ready-to-use activity sheets for educational experiments to try in class, such as sprouting a seed or learning where the colors of a leaf come from.

This feature will be especially popular for use with the Manual’s “photo album” that offers descriptions and pictures of the most common trees of North America.

As well, young forest explorers can now register with the Forest Academy and save their results as they earn merit badges by correctly answering my questions.  It`s worth it to come back a few times, because there are 20 badges to earn before receiving a Forest Academy diploma!

So are you ready for some adventure? Then meet me at the Forest Academy to learn all sorts of fun facts about trees, the forest and environmental protection. Hope to see you soon!
