Social Accountability Accreditation Services (SAAS) is hiring a Social Certification Program Coordinator.

Social Certification Program Coordinator Position
The Program Coordinator is a key member of the SAAS team. The primary responsibility of the Program Coordinator is to manage scheduling and related activities for SAAS's oversight of accredited certification bodies as they audit to SA8000®, the BSCI code and other systems. This is fast paced job that involves communicating with international stakeholders and managing multiple tasks simultaneously. The Program Coordinator works closely with SAAS's field staff, who are based throughout the world, and also supports staff at our New York City headquarters. The Program Coordinator must be capable of maintaining a high volume of work spread across a variety of systems and processes. As time management is vital, organizational skills must be exceptional. The ability to adapt to changing environments and think creatively about ways to adapt and improve SAAS's systems for oversight will aid this candidate well.

The ideal candidate for this position can demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy of corporate social responsibility and social audits. Candidate should also be able to appreciate and engage effectively with a diverse range of personalities, cultures, and working styles amongst other individuals involved in accreditation and certification scheme management. A balance of ability to understand and enforce requirements while having sensitivity to client needs is of great importance.

• Manage all aspects of scheduling assessments of accredited certification bodies.

• Coordinate with accounting department to monitor budgets, prepare invoices and billing.

• Follow up on post-audit activity, including tracking and disseminating audit reports.

• Maintain up to date records on all aspects of SAAS's assessment activities.

• Correspond and communicate with certification bodies, auditors, clients and other stakeholders concerning assessments and other matters.

• Maintain information about accredited certification bodies and auditors.

• Plan and coordinate logistics for SAAS events, meetings and trainings.

• Assist with special projects, research, correspondence, travel arrangements and reporting.

• Minimum B.A. in relevant field.

• Minimum two years' work in office environment.

• Experience with scheduling, coordinating events or equivalent practical experience.

• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Intermediate-advanced knowledge of MS Office.

• Intermediate-advanced knowledge of MS Excel. 

• Experience with databases, including Access 

• Ability to think critically and devise creative and effective solutions to problems.

• Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple activities and projects simultaneously.

Position is located in New York City.
