Will your company be ready?

OSHA requirement: “Employers are required to train workers by December 1, 2013 on the new labels elements and safety data sheets format to facilitate recognition and understanding.” (https://www.osha.gov/dsg/hazcom/)

AIAG is offering On the Job - with GHSas a low cost option to help employers meet OSHA’s requirements for the Hazard Communication Standard (HazCom), which has been updated to integrate the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS).

This 90-minute e-Learning course addresses changes to HazCom which affect your workplace. The course is intended for all employees whom are expected to encounter safety data sheets (SDS) and labels prepared according to GHS in their workplace; even individuals having little to no experience with hazard communications.

Attendees will learn what GHS is, how the changes made to HazCom will affect them in the workplace and gain an understanding of the hazard communication tools, such as SDSs and labels. Emphasis will be placed on interpretation of labels and label elements, including GHS symbols, signal words, hazard statements and precautionary statements. This course is intended to fulfill the training provisions set by the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard 29 CFR 1910.1200 that employees of manufacturers/importers must be trained on GHS by December 1, 2013.

Meet the government’s requirements and beat the 2014 price increase, train today! Reduced pricing is only available until December 31, 2013.
