The mGive Foundation is supporting several text campaigns to raise funds for Hurricane Sandy relief. 100 percent of the proceeds go directly to several nonprofits, including the Red Cross, Global Giving, Operation USA, Church World Service, Convoy of Hope, and Operation Blessing International.

The Bank of America Charitable Foundation is donating $1 million to support Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. $500,000 is being given to the Red Cross. The remainder will be directed to national, regional, and local nonprofits to support long-term recovery needs.

Honda has released the second in a series of short films about the company’s initiatives to reduce environmental impact and create a more sustainable business. “Every Drop Counts” features a project at Honda’s Ohio plant to capture and use the energy in water falling from rooftop cooling towers, creating a small-scale hydro power generation system.
