Building Connections—2016 Corporate Responsibility Report highlights the significant accomplishments and milestones of CBRE’s corporate responsibility program throughout 2016 and early 2017. The report was developed in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards: Core option and includes the company’s progress toward implementing the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact.

Environment

CBRE: Environmental Sustainability
In 2016, we developed our first global emissions reduction goal, which is an absolute goal to reduce Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions 30% by 2025 and 50% by 2035, using a baseline year of 2015. Scope 2 emissions result from the electricity we purchase and consume in our offices.
