MGM Resorts International’s strategic plan for environmental responsibility is designed to reduce our consumption of the planet’s limited resources. Through our comprehensive sustainability platform, the Green Advantage, we are able to integrate environmentally responsible practices which effectively lower the carbon footprint of our operations, including our resorts, restaurants, retail spaces, meetings and conventions.

To achieve our sustainability goals, Green Advantage focuses our efforts on five core areas that drive our continuous improvements and positive environmental impact: Energy & Water Conservation, Green Building, Recycling & Waste Management, Sustainable Supply Chain and Outreach & Education.

MGM National Harbor was designed and built with sustainability in the forefront, making it a premier eco-luxury destination. Although Maryland did not require that we meet this standard, MNH achieved LEED (Leadership in Energy and Design) Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

MGM Resorts International Earns 4 Green Globes Certifications for 26 Properties
The Green Building Initiative (GBI) is pleased to announce that MGM Resorts International has earned Four Green Globes® certifications for 26 retrofit building projects at various MGM Resorts’ Las Vegas properties. More than 45 million square feet of hotels, casinos, convention centers and resort campus spaces were retrofit to save energy and water, improve the indoor environment for guests and staff, reduce emissions and resource waste, and employ environmental management methods.

MGM National Harbor First Integrated Resort in Washington D.C. Region to Achieve Prestigious LEED® Gold Green Building Certification
MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) today announced that the U.S. Green Building Council has awarded the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design™ (LEED) Gold certification to MGM National Harbor, the company’s newest resort. Located minutes from Washington, D.C., in Prince George's County, Maryland, the resort will is scheduled to open Dec. 8.
