National Cybersecurity Awareness Month

National Cybersecurity Awareness Month
October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month, a public awareness campaign that encourages individuals and businesses to take action towards protecting themselves from cyber threats. We live in a connected society which provides great benefits, but also brings increased risk to individuals of theft, fraud, and abuse; organizations struggle with threats to critical infrastructure and data, while our nation faces constant cyber threats against our economy.
Since our way of life depends on critical infrastructure and the digital technology that operates it, cybersecurity is one of our country’s most important national security priorities, and we each have a role to play—cybersecurity is a shared responsibility.
Symantec will be posting information throughout the month to promote cyber security among individuals and encourage businesses to re-evaluate their security strategies based on their people, processes, and technology; to become more cyber resilient.
