Major League Baseball Players Swing Hammers for Habitat for Humanity
When disasters strike, Major League baseball players strike back. That's why Major Leaguers from across the United States and Latin America traveled to Texas recently to trade in their bats and gloves for hammers and hard hats. The Players Trust relief efforts in Dallas this week were a reminder from Major League Baseball players that they haven’t forgotten victims of the natural disasters that befell southern Texas, Florida, Northern California, Mexico and Puerto Rico earlier this year.

Major Leaguers to Build Homes and Raise Funds for Natural Disaster Victims Through a Pair of Dallas Events in Late November
The Major League Baseball Players Trust announced it will be hosting a pair of events in Dallas, TX on Wednesday, November 29 to help provide housing for Houston flood victims and raise funds and awareness for those suffering in the wake of natural disasters in California, the Caribbean, Florida, Mexico and Texas.

Star-studded Lineup Taking Shape for Players Trust golf Tournament Jan. 11-12 in Las Vegas
World Series champion Dexter Fowler and 2015 National League MVP Bryce Harper will be joined by more than 50 current and former players on Jan. 11-12 in Las Vegas when the dynamic duo co-host the Players Trust’s 13th annual fundraising golf tournament and MGM Grand host its third annual poker tournament to benefit the Trust.

Major Leagues Continue to Provide Funding to Help Lower Infant Mortality Rates in the Dominican Republic
The Major League Baseball Players Trust has made it a priority to support programs in the Dominican Republic—a place so many major leaguers call home. Since 2003, the Players Trust has partnered with Medicines for Humanity (MFH), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing effective and transformative healthcare to children and pregnant women to prevent and reduce needless child deaths in the DR and around the world.

MLBPA, MLB Pledge $200,000 Grant to Caritas Cubana
The Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA), through the Major League Baseball Players Trust (www.PlayersTrust.org), and Major League Baseball (MLB) jointly announced that they will provide a $200,000 grant to Caritas Cubana, the U.S.-based, non-governmental provider of humanitarian, social and emergency services to Cuba, in recognition of this week’s goodwill tour arranged by MLBPA and the MLB.
