Xylem Watermark is Xylem’s corporate citizenship and social investment program whose mission is to provide and protect safe water resources for communities in need around the world and educate people about water issues. In 2016, Xylem colleagues around the world came together to volunteer over 21,000 hours to address local and global water challenges across four water-centered focus areas: (1) school and community water access projects; (2) water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) education; (3) water stewardship and water source monitoring; (4) disaster response and risk reduction. Xylem Employees Honored for Volunteer Efforts
Two Xylem employees were honored by the Forest Reserve District of Will County with the Appreciation of Partners Award for the volunteer contributions of employees from Xylem's Mokena office on behalf of Xylem Watermark in 2017. Volunteer activities included clean-up efforts at the Forest Preserve’s Monee Reservoir and Rock Run Rookery Preserve in Will County, Illinois.

Xylem Volunteers Collaborate to Protect Water Environments of South Florida
Last October, five Xylem volunteers from Chile, Germany, Sweden and the United States spent five days exploring the water environments of South Florida and collaborating with groups working to protect these unique environments. Activities were conducted in partnership with EarthEcho International, one of Xylems’ global nonprofit partners.

Xylem Volunteers Participate in EarthEcho’s Water Challenge on World Water Monitoring Day
Xylem Watermark volunteers from Yellow Springs, Ohio spent World Water Monitoring Day with EarthEcho at Cuyahoga Valley National Park, participating in water education activities for more than 100 students from surrounding schools. Volunteers joined EarthEcho co-founder and President Philippe Cousteau Jr. in leading students through invasive species removal, tree-planting, and water quality testing using the EarthEcho Water Challenge test kit.

Xylem Employees Volunteer More Than 35,800 Hours in 2017
Employees from Xylem, a leading global water technology company that is dedicated to solving the world’s most challenging water issues, logged more than 35,800 volunteer hours in 2017, participating in activities aimed at providing and protecting safe water resources in communities and educating people about water issues. Xylem Watermark, the company’s corporate citizenship platform, launched a service-focused employee engagement program in 2016 in support of this mission with a goal of logging 100,000 volunteer hours by the end of 2018. This year’s achievement brings the total number of volunteer hours to nearly 57,000, more than halfway to that goal.

Xylem Watermark Volunteers Deploy Nine AquaTowers in Cambodia
Twenty-three Xylem Watermark volunteers traveled from France, Germany, Sweden, and the US to not only install household solar power and water filtration systems, but to also deploy nine AquaTowers in rural schools within Siem Reap and Preah Vihear provinces of Cambodia.

On September 12, the Sales team at Xylem Analytics UK in Letchworth turned their swiftwater and flood first responder training into a Walk for Water. As the participants walked to the training locations carrying the Watermark banner, they engaged local community members, increasing local awareness of the global water crisis.

Over 7,800 Hours Volunteered by Xylem Employees During Global Month of Service
To commemorate its anniversary in October, Xylem, a leading global water technology company dedicated to solving the world’s most challenging water issues, held its second annual Global Month of Service. Embracing the goals of Xylem’s corporate citizenship program, Xylem Watermark, employees around the world came together to provide and protect safe water resources for communities in need and to educate people about water issues. Throughout the month, Xylem employees volunteered more than 7,800 hours by participating in nearly 100 events in 28 countries.

Xylem Volunteers Conduct Water Filtration and Testing with St. Cassian’s Students
As part of Xylem Watermark’s second annual Global Month of Service, a group of volunteers from Xylem’s headquarters in Rye Brook, NY visited St. Cassian School in Montclair, NJ to help educate students about the importance of clean water.
