In its new Cocoa Promise Report, Cargill is laying out a clear pathway to a sustainable cocoa supply chain. In the five years since the Cocoa Promise, the company’s overarching sustainability commitment for the sector, was launched, Cargill and its farmer partners have made significant progress. Among other highlights, more than 145,000 farmers were trained on sustainability and good agricultural practices. In Côte d’Ivoire alone, 62,000 farmers have benefited from one-to-one coaching. Recent data shows that those who implemented what they learned saw an average yield increase of 49 percent in 2016-17.

Now, the company is presenting five clear goals to guide the path to 2030. Watch the video to learn more and download the full 2017 Cargill Cocoa Promise report here.
