Happy Independence Day, America!  In the spirit of the upcoming holiday, Companies for Good would like to highlight a few cause marketing campaigns that lead with patriotism and benefit worthy causes serving military families and veterans.

Huggies ‘Camo for a Cause’

Between Memorial Day and the Fourth of July 2012, Huggies will donate five million Huggies Little Movers Camo Diapers to military families from every branch of the U.S. military.  Huggies is partnering with the Armed Services YMCA and the National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN) to distribute the diapers to military families.  Huggies is a founding sponsor of the NDBN Every Little Bottom program, which seeks to provide every child I the U.S. with the diapers needed “to remain clean, dry and healthy”.

Camo for a Cause was reviewed by the Cause Marketing Forum's Companies & Causes blog--it's definitely worth checking out.

Heinz ‘It’s Our Turn to Serve’

In 2011, Heinz launched a cause marketing campaign to benefit the Wounded Warriors Project.  The campaign will return in 2012 for Veterans Day.  Together with partners, Heinz donated $200,000 to support the Wounded Warriors Project work with veterans.

Here's a review of the Heinz campaign on the Cause Marketing Forum’s Companies & Causes blog.

‘Got Your 6’ – an entertainment industry collaboration in partnership with Service Nation

The 'Got Your 6' campaign aims to advance the successful reintegration of the more than 1 million veterans returning back into civilian life over the next five years.
