CleanMed – Health Care and Sustainability Nirvana

I fell in love with the CleanMed conference when I first attended in 2010. CleanMed is a content-rich gathering, chock full of heart. It was started by two determined nonprofits, Healthcare without Harm andPractice Greenhealth, in 2001.

For my money, CleanMed is positively the most inspiring of conferences. As the premier national conference for leaders in health care sustainability, it is an opportunity to see how organizations are making significant strides in providing environmentally compliant health care and programs. The people at the core of CleanMed have been working hard to remove mercury from hospitals, and so much more. These people make change happen and their learnings and leadership bring both seriousness and hope.

This year CleanMed is in Dallas, home to our newly automated Arrow Value Recovery facility. I’ll be in Dallas for the conference May 16-19, and look forward to welcoming some of the conference-goers to our facility so they can see how we process electronics at end of life.

If you will be at CleanMed or are in the Dallas area, I’d love to connect with you in person. Drop me a line atcbaroudi@arrow.com and we can make a plan.
