Cone Communications Executives Speak at PRSA International Conference

BOSTON, September 28, 2017 /3BL Media/ - Cone Communications executives will be joining public relations industry experts as speakers at this year’s PRSA International Conference taking place October 8-10. Cone will help facilitate conversations on the topics of corporate social responsibility (CSR), the role of data in measurement and analytics as well as career planning at the three-day conference in Boston.

On the second day of the event, Andrea List, senior supervisor on Cone’s Research and Analytics team will join a panel discussion entitled, “Crunching the Numbers: How Data Analytics and Measurement Can Improve Results.” The session will outline how to obtain and analyze data on key stakeholders and ways to leverage insights to improve corporate reputation, expand markets, engage employees and meet competition head on. Other panelists include Michael Cornfield, Ph.D, research director, Graduate School of Political Management at the George Washington University and Lawrence J. Parnell, public relations program director and associate professor, Graduate School of Political Management at the George Washington University.

On Tuesday, October 10, Christian McGuigan, vice president of Content Strategy at Cone will lead a conversation on the evolution of a company’s role in society and how stakeholders now expect companies to stand up for hot-button issues. The session entitled, “It’s No Longer What You Stand For, But What You Stand Up For” will walk through how companies dig deep to discover values and how to engage stakeholders on complex and controversial issues.

Senior vice president on Cone’s CSR Strategy practice, Aaron Pickering, will also join a session at sister event, PRSSA 2017 National Conference, on October 7. Pickering will join a panel of practitioners to discuss “The Path to Public Relations: How to Land A Career in PR” for budding PR students. The panel includes Whitney Gray Bailer, Communications Consultant and Alexa Manocchio, Fidelity Investments and is moderated by Professor Larry Parnell, Program Director, Strategic Public Relations, The George Washington University.
