ATLANTA, July 19, 2016 /3BL Media/ - Cox Enterprises today announced expanded sustainability roles for Huiet Joseph and Evelyn Bolden, effective immediately. Both individuals report to Keith Mask, assistant vice president of environmental sustainability, and work on the company’s national Cox Conserves sustainability program.

“Cox has aggressive sustainability goals around carbon, water and waste,” said Mask. “Huiet plays a significant role in helping us achieve success. His projects are not only good for the environment, but they also have a positive impact on our bottom line.”

Joseph is being promoted to director of energy conservation and is responsible for executing strategies, initiatives and capital projects to reduce Cox’s carbon footprint. His team has completed more than 240 energy and water conservation projects across the company’s subsidiaries – Cox Communications, Cox Automotive and Cox Media Group. The work has been recognized by the Atlanta Better Buildings Challenge and the Lighting Energy Efficiency in Parking (LEEP) Campaign.

Prior to joining Cox in 2006, Joseph worked for Colonial Pipeline Company, the Tennessee Valley Authority and Square D PowerLogic.

He received a bachelor’s degree in physics from Dillard University, a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in business administration from Middle Tennessee State University. Joseph is a licensed Professional Engineer and holds several certifications from the Association of Energy Engineers, including the Certified Energy Manager and the Certified Energy Procurement Professional titles.

Bolden is assuming the newly-created position of director of corporate partner sustainability. In this role, she is responsible for the development and implementation of sustainability strategies for company suppliers, industry partners and various community entities. She sets sustainability guidelines for the company’s supply chain and convenes vendors to share best practices to reduce waste and energy consumption, as well as create cost savings. Bolden also assists in business analysis of Cox’s environmental investments and partnerships.

“Part of the Cox Conserves’ vision is to inspire eco-friendly behavior in our employees, customers, suppliers and partners,” said Mask. “Evelyn is the perfect fit for this new position. She has a history of convening stakeholders and identifying new business opportunities. We all share the environment, and Evelyn will help connect our partners to collectively make a positive impact.”

She joined Cox in 2000 and most recently served as director of vendor management. She has also held roles in Cox’s product development, corporate strategy, corporate development and governance functions. She previously worked at CenturyLink.

Bolden received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and master’s degree in economics from the University of Denver and a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Colorado. She serves on the board of directors for Startup Atlanta and Startup Chicks and is a member of the 2015 class of the Institute For Georgia Environmental Leadership.
