Dr. Pepper Snapple Group has published its second full sustainability report, detailing progress in five priorities: environmental sustainability, health and wellness, philanthropy, workplace, and ethical sourcing. Key accomplishments include recycling 81 percent of manufacturing waste, saving $25 million dollars through lightweight packaging, and contributing more than 55,000 employee volunteer hours.

A General Motors plant in Arlington, Texas is one of five GM construction sites following a program to reduce waste and increase energy efficiency. So far, GM has recycled 150,000 tons of waste at the five sites. GM has announced 32 new investments totaling $5.5 billion dollars, many of which will be construction sites that will follow GM Green Construction practices.

Stantec has been named one of Canada’s Best 50 Corporate Citizens for the second consecutive year by Corporate Knights magazine. The annual ranking recognizes companies that are implementing business practices based on environmental, social, and governance indicators. Stantec provides consulting services for infrastructure and facilities projects.
