KINGSPORT, Tenn., June 25, 2014 /3BL Media/ – Since its establishment in November, 2000, the Hilton in the Community Foundation has raised more than $22 million (£14 million) for charity. One of the most popular programs that support their charitable fundraising has been the ‘Ducks for Change’ campaign. Supporters in Europe are invited to make a difference by purchasing a set of three novelty toy ducks as souvenirs of their visit. Proceeds from the sale of the ducks then are given to local children’s charities. Since its inception, the ‘Ducks for Change’ program has sold more than 165,000 sets of ducks and the funds raised from their sales have contributed to more than 130 grants to charities across Europe.

In addition to providing the non-phthalate plasticizer that makes the toy ducks safe and flexible, Eastman Chemical Company (NYSE: EMN) has agreed to support the ‘Ducks for Change’ campaign by contributing to the marketing efforts with contributions of staff time and co-marketing funds. “Ducks for Change is a wonderful way to encourage guests to support local children’s charities and give back to the communities,” stated Jon Woods, Eastman Plasticizers Business Unit Director. “We are honored to be able to help promote this program and increase the amount that these great charities receive.”

“We’re excited to be working with Eastman to increase the reach of our marketing efforts,” said Simon Sheehan, Hilton in the Community Foundation Director. “We have already established a successful fund-raising program with ‘Ducks for Change’ and are looking forward to having a partner that will help us take it to the next level.”

Eastman and the Hilton in the Community Foundation have an agreement in place to co-market the ‘Ducks for Change’ campaign starting this year and extending to at least 2017.
