Vehicle Scrap finds NEW Life at Flint Training Center
Leftover scrap sound-deadening material that insulates a variety of Chevrolet engines is now insulating the walls of the NEW Life Center, a jobs development and training facility in Flint, Michigan. GM tested the material diverted from its Rochester Operations facility in New York for building applications. Now more than 200 pieces have been reused, benefiting the environment and community.

Maven Introduces Reserve, a New Monthly Offering for Members

GM Watching Policies that Pave the Way for Safe Self-Driving Vehicle Testing
Motor vehicle fatalities increased about 8 percent during the first nine months of 2016 compared to fatalities during that time in 2015, according to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This marks the eighth consecutive quarter in which fatalities have increased. Previous data has shown that more than 90 percent of highway fatalities are the result of human error. Self-driving technology is more than just a business priority for GM; it is an opportunity to save thousands of lives.

GM Global Headquarters Joins Earth Hour
The General Motors Renaissance Center Global Headquarters participated in the World Wildlife Fund’s hour-long Earth Hour by shutting off all non-essential lights Saturday, March 25, to demonstrate GM’s commitment to energy efficiency and environmental stewardship. The RenCen was one of 3,000 landmarks from over 180 countries participating in the event.
