Getting It

It can be difficult to understand the devastating impact cancer has on a person’s life unless you’ve been there. It can be hard to “get it” if you’ve never helped a loved one through treatment. Reliable information when you are faced with big life altering decisions, like cancer treatment, is imperative to making your personal plan to fight cancer. We shared Melissa’s story this week to show just how LIVESTRONG helps people face cancer. We invite you to read her story and share your own.

This week, we launched a fundraising campaign where every dollar up to $250,000 will be generously matched by the Shine Foundation – the foundation created by Jeri and Jeff Mulder. Jeri and Jeff made a commitment to LIVESTRONG because they “get it.” Jeri lacked the support she needed during treatment and she understands how important that support can be. We encourage all of you who have been through treatment, or have seen someone facing cancer, to donate to support these important services. Every donation will be doubled in honor of your fight, your loved one’s fight, Melissa and Jeri’s fights.
