Alexandria, VA, January 16, 2013 /3BL Media/ – Stanley Berman, Certified Public Accountant and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Global Impact, was selected as a winner of this year’s Executive Management Awards (EMAs) by SmartCEO magazine.

The EMAs recognize the achievements of the Mid-Atlantic’s top management all-stars: Chief Financial Officers, Chief Information Officers, Chief Technology Officers, Chief Operating Officers and other Chief Officers. Winners are selected by an independent panel of judges who assess each nominee on certain criteria provided in the nomination. Each EMA winner represents the best of what the Washington metropolitan area has to offer, including an extraordinary work ethic, passionate leadership and a success-driven management strategy.

“Stan’s knowledge, discernment and keen insights have been instrumental in Global Impact’s success. This award fittingly recognizes his integrity and all of the qualities that make him a world-class CFO and leader,” said Renée S. Acosta, President of Global Impact.

Mr. Berman was named 2012 Nonprofit CFO of the Year by Tate & Tryon and West, Lane and Schlager Realty Advisors in partnership with Association TRENDS. Virginia Business named Mr. Berman the 2010 Virginia CFO of the Year for small nonprofit organizations, and in 2009, he was the only nonprofit CFO to be recognized as a “Smart CPA” by SmartCEO magazine.

Global Impact’s management and accountability practices earned the organization a series of awards and recognition, including Seal Holder status from the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance for the seventh consecutive year for meeting each of the 20 standards for charity accountability.
