Ottawa, ON, October 26, 2016 /3BL Media/ - Green Key Global is pleased to announce ARIA Resort and Casino, a Green Key Global member since 2010, has received a 5 Key rating with the new GSTC Recognized Green Key Eco-Rating Program.

A 5 Green Key rating, the highest rating a property can achieve in the program, demonstrates the ARIA Resort and Casino is a resort that exemplifies the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility throughout all of its operations. The hotel employs cutting edge technologies, policies and programs that set the international standard for sustainable hotel operators.

“At ARIA Resort and Casino, we continually seek opportunities to improve our environmental performance. The Green Key 3.0 survey helps us document the steps we have taken to reduce the environmental impact of our daily operations, and also encourages us to go further. Obtaining a Green Key rating helps us highlight our achievements to customers and brings additional prominence to our leading sustainability program,” said Cindy Ortega, Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer of MGM Resorts International. ARIA is among the company’s portfolio of premier resort destinations. It is part of CityCenter, which has six LEED Gold certifications and is one of the largest environmental achievements in the world. ARIA's expanded convention space, scheduled to open in 2018, will maintain MGM Resorts’ commitment to build all new venues to LEED Gold standards or better, creating one of the most expansive high-end, environmentally friendly meeting facilities in the world.
