On Saturday, Oct. 24, Wynn Las Vegas and Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas volunteers came together to complete three “A Brush With Kindness” (ABWK) projects, in celebration of Make a Difference Day.

More than 100 volunteers joined together to revitalize Henderson’s Pittman region through the ABWK program, which serves low-income homeowners who struggle to maintain the exterior of their homes. Two selected homes and the Community Baptist Church were given an improved exterior makeover. Volunteers provided the Community Baptist Church with an all-over fresh coat of tan paint, in addition to repainting the church’s two storage sheds and planting a new tree. Additionally, Wynn volunteers updated the exterior paint of two homes located on Bearden Avenue; removed the weeds and dead plants in the front yard; replaced them with desert landscaping rocks and a weed barrier; trimmed the existing trees on property; and provided cleanup by removing the debris and trash.

In addition to volunteer support, Wynn Las Vegas generously donated $50,000 to fund the project, with the company’s employees completing 360 volunteer hours.
