The 19th annual Health Policy Conference sponsored by the ECRI Institute will focus on what systems work in healthcare and why? The conference will be held on November 28th and 29th in Washington, D.C. The ECRI Institute is a nonprofit that brings the discipline of applied scientific research to healthcare practices.

The American Cancer Society has received $35,000 from country singer Kellie Pickler and Athena bottled water to help end breast cancer. The funds, offered by Athena at the singer’s request to raise awareness about the disease in younger women, will be used for Society research, programs, and services.

CVS/pharmacy is expanding its ExtraCare Advantage Diabetes program to offer $130 in savings as well as the savings and rewards members receive for just signing up. CVS/pharmacy is also hosting free glucose screenings during National Diabetes Month, which is this November.
