November 14, 2012 Canada’s major food advocates have called for a national school nutrition program to ensure that the country’s children get healthy food. The request was issued during the Food Secure Canada conference held recently in Edmonton, Alberta. While many provinces and communities support meals in schools, there’s no Canadian federal program.
This month, 250 male employees at General Mills are adding mustaches to their faces to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives. The group, known as “Mo Bros,” is participating in “Mo-vember” to grow mustaches for 30 days and raise $35,000.
