GE Healthcare has launched “Give a Little Beat,” a musical initiative to connect people in the fight against breast cancer through the power of music and social media. By visiting givealittlebeat.com, users will be able to share and listen to songs from the online GE Healthcare Jukebox, powered by Spotify. According to the American Cancer Society, there is evidence that music therapy can help to reduce paint and relieve chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting as well as general stress.
Steris has acquired two surgical instrument repair businesses to expand its healthcare services. The company has purchased Spectrum Surgical Instruments and Total Repair Express, providers of such services to hospitals and surgery centers in the U.S. The new acquisitions will be integrated into Steris’ healthcare segment as part of the company’s Specialty Services business.
