A new, advanced, computer simulator for emergency care to help EMS units in their operations management has been developed in a collaborative effort. The system analyzes the reaction of the emergency unit when faced with difference scenarios and optimizes the resources available. The model was designed based on real data provided by Parc Tauli Healthcare, and was created by researchers of the High Performance Computing for Efficient Application and Simulation group of the University of Barcelona.

A new white paper from Raritan examines how Shands Healthcare has leveraged data center infrastructure management to gain a clearer view of its data center resources. The insights gained from the DCIM solution allow Shands to make more efficient use of information to make better decisions for improving performance, and to develop plans to grow data center infrastructure as healthcare needs evolve.

Consumption of grape products has been linked to healthier diets and living by the National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys. A study of 21,000 adults and children found that the consumption of grapes and grape products was associated with a rise in calcium dietary fiber, magnesium, and potassium as well as vitamins A, B, and C in diets. Grape consumers also ate less of unhealthy foods.
