Earlier this week Kimberly-Clark released its annual sustainability report, offering a detailed assessment of the company's progress towards its Sustainability 2015 goals.

The personal care giant, which manufactures a vast array of well-known brands, such as Huggies nappies, Kleenex tissues and Andrex loo roll, has emerged in recent years as a pioneer of corporate sustainability initiatives. However, it hasn't always been this way. In the past the firm has come under harsh criticism from environmental campaigners for its sourcing practices. For example, the Kleercut campaign - launched in 2004 by Greenpeace - saw a high-profile attack on the firm's use of wood fibres from endangered forests such as the Boreal forest.
