Ideagen Convenes the World’s Leading Companies, NGO’s and Public Sector in Bellevue, WA for the Annual Ideagen Global Good Summit Hosted by Global Good and Research at Intellectual Ventures

BELLEVUE, Wash., Dec. 4, 2015 /3BL Media/ - Ideagen, the world’s leading cross-sector innovation and collective impact member network where the world’s leading corporations, NGO’s, and public sector organizations convene to innovate and collaborate, hosted the first Annual Ideagen Global Good Summit at Global Good & Research at Intellectual Ventures in Bellevue, Washington on November 6, 2015.

Leadership from across the sectoral spectrum came together to discuss cross-sector innovation, impact leadership, and collective impact.  Welcome remarks were delivered by Maurizio Vecchione, SVP Global Good and Research and George Sifakis, Founder and CEO of Ideagen.  Dr. Nathan Myrhvold, Intellectual Ventures Founder and CEO delivered an inspiring keynote highlighting the importance of scientific and technical ability to solve the causes of suffering and deaths for millions of people each year in developing countries.

Presenters from the world’s leading organizations included Dr. Kiko Suarez, Lumina Foundation; Blair Taylor, Starbucks; June Sugiyama, Vodafone; Ruth Riley, WNBA and UN Global Ambassador; Sidhant Gupta, Microsoft Research; Cody Chandler, Causecast; and Kenneth Moritsugu, former US Surgeon General; Kirsten Gagnaire of MAMA mobile alliance; Maurizio Vecchione, SVP Global Good and Research.

The world’s leading companies, NGO’s and public sector addressed many of the world’s most vexing issues during insightful panels focused on issues ranging from global health, education, workforce and technology, sharing their ideas about making an impact in the world and how to develop solutions through meaningful cross sector collaboration and data sharing across sectors.

The world’s leading companies, NGO’s and public sector assembled at the summit to support the idea of Global Good through cross-sector collaboration while holding group discussions and panels throughout the day at Global Good & Research at Intellectual Ventures headquarters in Bellevue.

George Sifakis, Founder and CEO of Ideagen, outlined the importance of social impact and cross-sector collaboration in terms of data sharing and innovative thought.  A Global Grand Challenge was issued during the Ideagen design thinking phase of the summit to build a framework for open data sharing across sectors.
