Impact Story: Career Day at Cisco Live United States 2015

Inspired to pursue an IT career through hands-on learning at Cisco’s major customer event

In the World of Solutions, students took part in a scavenger hunt. They explored hundreds of vendor booths, including our Corporate Social Responsibility booth, where they learned how we are enabling global problem solvers to speed the pace of social change.

As the final keynote presenter, Discovery Channel’s Mike Rowe explained to the students and thousands of attendees that networking jobs will be critical as the world becomes more connected.

…many students got their first taste of the Maker Movement, which inspires people to create, innovate, and imagine with technology.

With a simple piece of paper, conductive tape, and an LED light, the students created personalized greeting cards.
