Jay Bruce, Eric Davis to co-host 3rd annual Players Trust All Star Golf Tournam…

Reds outfielder Jay Bruce and former Reds All-Star Eric Davis will co-host the third annual Players Trust All Star Golf Tournament at Coldstream Country Club in Cincinnati on July 15 – the day after the Midsummer Classic.

During a week in which Cincinnati will become the center of the baseball universe, golfers and baseball fans alike will be able to combine two great American passions for an unforgettable day on one of the area’s most prestigious golf courses.

A number of  former Reds legends and big league All-Stars are already scheduled to join Bruce and Davis at Coldstream, including Ken Griffey, Sr., Dave Parker, Tom Browning, Reggie Sanders, Ron Oester, Danny Graves, Billy Hatcher, Zach Day, Bobby Bonilla, Jose Cruz, Jr. and Steve Rogers, to name a few.

The golf tournament is part of the Trust’s efforts to raise funds to help support its array of charitable programming. Previous tournaments have raised proceeds to benefit Superstorm Sandy victims and Minneapolis area children’s charities.

Each off-season for the past 11 years, the Trust has hosted fund-raising tournaments on some of the country’s most exclusive golf courses, such as Shadow Creek in Las Vegas, Torrey Pines in La Jolla, Calif., and Scottsdale TPC and Grayhawk Golf Club in Arizona. More than $1.4 million has been raised through these exclusive and unique charity and social events.

Players Trust All Star Golf Tournament participation levels begin with the $4,000 Single, which includes one foursome with a celebrity pairing, a unique, gift-filled SWAG bag and an autographed baseball and photo for each golfer.

Double, Triple and Home Run sponsorship levels are also available. Portions of the costs are tax deductible.
