KFC India has turned a challenge from non-profit organization 17000 ft Foundation into reality, building playgrounds and libraries for children in the remote village of Ladakh.

A team from KFC travelled to Kahltse where they helped set up the playground and library at the Jamyang Khalstse Lamdon School. The team also joined the local community Sept. 12th for an event to dedicate the libraries and playgrounds to the Ladakhi children.

The initiative, which grew out of the brand's #KFCWishBucket campaign, encouraged fan participation on social channels, resulting in:

  • 8.2 million impressions in India
  • 18.8 million global impressions
  • 15,000 individual tweets
