West Region Distribution Center Exceeds California Recycling Law

We'll Take That Bet and Raise You!

When California required companies to divert 75 percent of their waste from the landfill, associates at our distribution center thought, “Hey, we can do better than that.” And they did.

Our San Bernardino facility blasted past that regulation with 95 percent of its waste bypassing the landfill. How did they do it? Well, education, recycling bins around every corner, and lots and lots of sorting.

“Given we have so many boxes, it would be a shame if something wasn’t recycled,” said associate Gail Hameister.

Now its sister facility in Flower Mound, Texas, kicked off its own “road to net zero waste” journey.
