Wednesday, November 2, 2016 - 9:50am

Chestnut Hill, Mass., November 1, 2016 /3BL Media/ — Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship announced a call for entries for its 9th annual International Corporate Citizenship Film Festival, the largest film festival devoted exclusively to celebrating the work of corporate social responsibility (CSR) professionals, their companies, and programs. The 2017 Corporate Citizenship Film Festival is presented by FedEx (NYSE: FDX).

“FedEx is proud to help showcase the corporate citizenship initiatives that are powering meaningful change and improving lives globally,” said Jenny Robertson, director of citizenship and reputation management, FedEx. “We invite our colleagues to participate in this year’s film festival and share their CSR stories, experiences, and achievements.”

“Each year, through video storytelling, we highlight the tremendous work accomplished by corporate citizenship professionals from around the world,” said Katherine V. Smith, executive director, Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship. “By showcasing these exceptional programs and initiatives—and the creative ways in which they’re shared—we strive to inspire others to do even more great work.”

Part of the 2017 International Corporate Citizenship Conference, the Film Festival is open to all companies regardless of size or location. To participate, organizations submit short films depicting one or more aspects of recent corporate citizenship initiatives. Since the inaugural event in 2009, the Film Festival has received more than 400 submissions. Among last year’s winning entries were films that featured STEM education, lifelong fitness and well-being, and access to quality healthcare for uninsured individuals.
