Lockheed Martin Upgrades Enhance Data Security, Sustainability

Security upgrades developed by Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) for the current ground control system of the US Air Force´s Global Positioning System (GPS), are now fully operational to safeguard data and ensure satellite availability.

The GPS Intrusion Protection Reinforcement (GIPR) technology refresh is part of the Air Force´s strategy to modernize the current GPS system and to ensure the availability of its services for more than one billion global military, civilian and commercial users daily.
