Major Leaguers past and present head to Las Vegas on Wednesday, January 14 for MGM Grand Poker Tournament to benefit the Major League Baseball Players Trust 

Players and supporters to participate in the Players Trust’s 11th annual off-season fund-raising golf tournament at Shadow Creek on Thursday, January 15

WHO:

More than 35 current and former Major League baseball players, including Hall of Famers Eddie Murray, Ozzie Smith and Dave Winfield  

Current players including: Jeff Beliveau, Adrian Beltre, Chris Capuano, Mike Dunn, Nick Evans, Dana Eveland, Chris Hatcher, LaTroy Hawkins, David Huff, Nick Hundley, Josh Johnson, Corey Knebel, Gerald Laird, James Loney, Nick Masset, Donnie Murphy, Bud Norris, Cesar Ramos, Drew Stubbs, and Shane Victorino

Former players including: Sandy Alomar Sr., Marlon Anderson, Dallas Braden, Barry Bonds,  Royce Clayton, Eric Davis, Adam Dunn, Scott Erickson, Eddie Guardado, Jacque Jones, Mike Lincoln, Kenny Lofton, Fred Lynn, Reggie Sanders and Steve Trachsel    

WHAT:

A star-studded poker tournament hosted by MGM Grand to benefit the Major League Baseball Players Trust -  the charitable foundation created by the players to help those in need and to encourage others to do the same.  

Members of the general public get to test their poker-playing skills against a who’s-who list of Major Leaguers – each wearing their MLB jersey.  If a poker player knocks a Major Leaguer out of the tournament, he/she gets the shirt right off the big leaguer’s back.

Members of the public interested in participating in the Poker Tournament can register at MGM Grand’s casino floor across from the KÀTheatre beginning at 7 PM, Wednesday, January 14.
