ST. LOUIS, March 29, 2016 /3BL Media/ - During the recent Missouri River flooding throughout the Midwest, Marcone, a St. Louis-based organization, supplied the National Guard with over 300,000 dollars in technology to ensure sustained communications while crews worked to service devastated areas.

The flooding displaced thousands and left many without access to roads, power and clean water. The Iowa and Missouri National Guard used tanker trucks to refill water towers and ensure residents had running water. Many of the service vehicles did not have electronic charging for mobile devices. Marcone, through H.E.R.O.E.S. Care, a nonprofit organization which supports military families, donated 11,000 Juicebar charging devices to enable sustained communications during the community crisis.

“We are grateful for any opportunity to support our National Guard’s service,” says Jim Souers, CEO of Marcone. “Communication is key in times of distress and emergency, so we wanted to make sure the people on the front line would easily be able to connect to their team and even to their loved ones.”

In addition to H.E.R.O.E.S. Care, Marcone also supports other organizations that seek to improve the lives of military men and women and their families including the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP), the Navy League of the United States and Fisher House Foundation.
